SpotPad gives you complete control over your information
Your notes and location information stay within your phone, in your control. Nothing is uploaded to servers. Data is only stored locally on your device. No one else has means to see where you are.
When you install SpotPad, you should see notifications that the phone has access to your location and the network. Here is precisely how those are used:
- Your Location: The current location of your device is captured only when you hit the "Tag With Location" button at the bottom of a note.
- Network Communication: The network is only used when you choose to view the location of a note on a map and to show ads. SpotPad calls the Google Maps API and passes the location of that note so that you can see it as a pin on a Google Map.
